A little about us.

Welcome to our corner of the internet. 

We are Renee and Tom Powell and we are a husband and wife team of remote online and mobile notaries who own and operate Universal Signing Solutions as a duo. Our tandem approach to our online and mobile notary business allows us to meet more needs for more clients with greater flexibility. It also allows us to work together toward the common goal of growing a business that, at it's core, is all about going the extra mile, meeting our customers where they are most comfortable, and client satisfaction. 

We met in 1997, got married in 1999, and are the parents of four children, and the grandparents to two grandchildren. We reside in Channahon, Illinois, in the far southwest suburbs of Chicago, where we have been calling home since 2005. We are both Chicagoland natives who love our community, the Cubs, and the flexibility of being our own bosses. 

Renee is a twenty year veteran of the agriculture industry, where she defied the odds and became one of the few women leaders in an industry dominated by men. Tom spent twenty-six years in the landscape industry, with a focus on project management for multi-million dollar companies before owning his own smaller landscape firm. Now we bring our years of attention to detail and knowledge of customer service to the online notary field with our latest endeavor, Universal Signing Solutions.
